Meet Our Dentists

Dr. Michel Comeau received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1998. Michel has pursued his passion for comprehensive, cosmetic and implant dentistry by attending several internationally recognized continuing education institutes in an effort to provide complete dental care to his patients.

In 2007, he attained Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry ("AGD") and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists ("ICOI") and also graduated from the Misch International Implant Institute prosthetic program. He is a former associate faculty member of The Dawson Academy in Florida. 

Michel lives with his wife, Beth, and their two children in his hometown village of Meteghan, Nova Scotia, located in the Acadian Region of Clare and he is proud to offer bilingual service to our patients. Dr. Michel Comeau received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1998.

Dr. Ola was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 2010 she graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University in 2016. Upon graduation, she worked for two years in both Newfoundland and Labrador until her fiance was transferred to Ottawa in June 2018.

During her time in Ottawa, Dr. Ola worked in a private practice where she practiced all aspects of general dentistry. She also worked part-time work at the Civic Hospital Dental Clinic where she was able to treat medically compromised patients.

In 2020 Dr. Ola and her fiance decided to make the move back home to the East Coast. She is very excited to be back working in Nova Scotia and looks forward to being a part of the community again. She joined the SouthWest Dental team in 2021 and enjoys seeing patients of all ages, striving to provide a positive experience while keeping them at ease. She is pleased to be able to offer pediatric OR treatment at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital to children in the Southwest Nova area.

Outside of work, Dr. Ola loves spending time with her family, friends, and dog, keeping busy with outdoor activities and sports.

Dr. Manbir Sandhu was born and raised in Punjab, India, and moved to Canada in September 2016. He hails from a family whose ancestral roots are from the undivided Indian state of Punjab and the elders were primarily involved in agriculture and medicine. He grew up developing a liking for music, cricket, soccer, video games, and travel. He received his education in dentistry in his hometown of Ferozepur, Punjab, and traveled to South India to pursue a Masters's in Hospital Administration from Manipal. Dr. Sandhu worked as a quality care manager for 2 years in a hospital focusing on safe practices and developing systems to improve the quality of care before deciding to move to Canada in 2016.

He graduated from Dalhousie University with a DDS degree in 2020 and then pursued a General Practice Residency (GPR) from Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto, which is affiliated with the University of Toronto. He had an opportunity to treat medically complex patients in a hospital setting that included rotations at Princess Margaret Hospital where he worked primarily with cancer patients and rotations at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute where he tended to special needs patients requiring long-term care. Practicing dentistry in a hospital during the peak of the pandemic added a whole new dimension to his training during his time in Toronto and it added to his interest in the compassionate and holistic care of the head and neck region.

He believes in continuous learning with emergency care and restoring dentition as his forte and is a firm believer in giving back to the community. He moved back to Nova Scotia in July 2021and made Yarmouth his home with his better half and thoroughly enjoys living in the Maritimes

Dr. Saravpreet Kaur was born and raised in Punjab India and moved to Canada in 2016. In India, she studied dentistry and then completed a Periodontology residency program in 2015. After coming to Canada in 2016, she started the process to get her license to practice dentistry in Canada and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Dalhousie University. She was the recipient of the Dr. Sura Hadad Scholarship in Dentistry, Dr. Bill McInnis Scholarship, and the CFAO award for achievement in undergraduate Orthodontics.

Along with Periodontology, she holds an interest in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. Sara fell in love with Nova Scotia when she moved here with her husband, Manbir, in 2018 and they decided to make it their home. She lives in Yarmouth with her husband and their cats and enjoys walks on the beach, hiking trails, and relaxing with a good book. She believes in the practice of complete dentistry and is an active member of the Dawson Academy Study Club in Atlantic Canada.
